Cars for Sale
All Japanese car speedos are in kilometres per hour and not miles per hour. We can convert your speedo to show MPH, this is not a legal requirement for the MOT etc but most people would obvioulsy prefer to see MPH! (Also some motoring organisations will refuse to test drive a car unless MPH is shown on speedo!) There are two ways to do this :-
* The first way is to replace the speedo fascia with a new one that is marked in MPH and KMH as well, however the distance on the odometer still displays and ticks over in kilometres not miles. This is marked on fascia to avoid any confusion.
* The seond way is a "full conversion" this is where the speedo is recalibrated to tick over in MPH and the odometer to tick over in miles, not kilometers! Basically a sticker is put over the KMH on the speedo saying MPH and looks very "factory". The next problem is that the mileage on the display will show the distance done in kms not miles, so we reallign it show equivalent distance in miles (ie 80,000kms is 50,000mls). We can do this on-site (mobile) for most cars if required. Or the speedos can be removed from the car and sent to us.
